Start of Autumn 立秋
Liqiu, or Start of Autumn, opens autumn, yet the heat lingers in what is called the autumn tiger. Morning and night slowly cool as leaves begin to fall. An old custom of fattening up sees people eat watermelon and nourishing food to prepare for autumn.
